Idli Winter Treat Finger Millet

Make this Finger Millet Idiyappam for a super healthy and nutritious breakfast. Taste best when served with coconut chutney/coconut milk or veg kurma.

Ingredients:
  • Ragi Flour - 1 Cup
  • Water - 1.5 Cup
  • Salt - Half Teaspoon
Instructions:
  • Roast ragi flour in a pan on medium flame. Keep stirring regularly to avoid burning. Take out in a plate.
  • Now boil water in a saucepan. Add salt & stir. Make sure, water is very hot.
  • Add it to little by little to the roasted flour. Mix well to combine & make a soft dough.
  • Fill dough in the idiyappam press. Grease the idli plate with a drop of oil.
  • Press the dough when the dough is still hot. Press the idiyappam strings onto idli plates.
  • Steam the idiyappam for 10 minutes.
