Cake and Muffin
Cake is a form of baked sweet dessert. In earlier times, cakes were modifications of breads, now cakes cover a wide range of other desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards, and pies.
Muffins are single-serving quick breads, which rise with the help of baking soda or baking powder and eggs instead of yeast. They tend to be sweet and somewhat moist, but heavier than a cake or cupcake.

Chilla is an Indian Pancake that is made from different types of flours like besan flour, moong Daal flour, and ragi flour.
Chips and Nachos
Chips are type of snack in the form of a crisp, flat or slightly bowl shaped, bite-sized unit. Chips are typically potato or grain-based, but can be made of any food substance that can be reduced to a thin, crisp form.
While most chips are savory snacks, sweet fruit chips such as apple chips and banana chips are also available.
Cookies
A cookie is a baked or cooked food that is small, flat and sweet. It usually contains flour, sugar and some type of oil or fat. It may include other ingredients such as raisins, oats, chocolate chips, or nuts. Cookies are often served with beverages such as milk, coffee or tea.
Idli
Idli ia a type of rice cake, originating from the Indian subcontinent, popular as breakfast food in southern India. Idlis are made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented black lentils (de-husked) and rice. The fermentation process breaks down the starches so that they are more readily metabolized by the body.
Juice
Juice is a drink made from the extraction or pressing of the natural liquid contained in fruits and vegetables. Juice is commonly consumed as a beverage or used as an ingredient or flavoring in foods or other beverages like smoothies.
Kebab
Kebab is a dish consisting of small pieces of vegetables, pulses, tomatoes, onions, and others, threaded onto skewers and grilled or fried.
Lassi
Lassi is a curd-based drink that originated in the Indian subcontinent. Lassi is a blend of yogurt, water, spices and sometimes fruit.
Omelete
An omelet is a simple dish of beaten eggs cooked until set and folded over themselves, with or without a filling. Omelets are quick and easy in their basic form.
Paratha
A paratha, a flatbread that originated in India, literally means layers of cooked dough. Parathas can be eaten as a breakfast dish or as a tea-time snack. Parathas are made with roti dough but are cooked in ghee or oil and are layered breads. They can be stuffed with vegetables like potatoes as in "aloo ke paronthe" or nuts.
They are heavy and are often eaten for breakfast in the north. The south also has its versions. The "malabar parotta" of Kerala is a layered, fluffy bread that is eaten with luscious coconut curries.
Pasta
Pasta is a type of noodle in Italian cuisine. It is typically made from an unleavened dough of a durum wheat flour mixed with water or eggs, and formed into sheets or various shapes, then cooked by boiling or baking.
Some pastas are made using rice flour or legumes like black beans or lentils in place of wheat flour to yield a different taste and texture, or for those who need to avoid products containing gluten.
Pizza
Pizza is Italian origin dish, consisting of flattened (circular) base of wheat-based dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and various other ingredients baked at a high temperature.
Poha
Poha is rice that has been parboiled, rolled, flattened and then dried to produce flakes. The flakes come in different thicknesses depending on the pressure used in the flattening process.
Rice flakes are small, very light, flat and greyish white in colour. Depending on the method of cooking, they can be soft or crunchy.

A milk shake is a sweet, cold beverage that is usually made from milk, ice cream, or iced milk, fresh fruits or sweeteners such as butterscotch, caramel sauce, chocolate syrup, or fruit syrup.
Smoothies
A thick and cold beverage made from blended raw fruits, vegetables, ice, honey, yogurt, milk and nuts.
Soup
Soup is a liquid food, generally served warm or hot, that is made by combining ingredients of vegetables with water. Hot soups are also made by boiling solid ingredients in liquids in a pot until the flavors are extracted.
Upma
In Tamil, "uppu" means salt and "maa" means flour. These two words form upma. Upma is a hot favourite breakfast food originated from South India. It can be eaten for breakfast, brunch or as a snack.
It is cooked as a thick porridge from dry roasted semolina. Various seasonings or vegetables are often added during the cooking, depending on individual preferences.
