Spinach Salad and Sprouts

Raisins are a healthy alternative to sugar in sweet recipes. They not only give you the required nutritional edge, they can be used as topping in food items, to enhance the flavour of the recipe and give you the dietary bonus.

It might be hard to imagine that the tiny raisins provide relief from a spate of health problems, at the same time provide you a good source of carbohydrates, thereby pumping your body with energy.

Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup chopped spinach
  • 10 to 15 raisins
  • Onion (Chopped)
  • Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Salt & black pepper
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and chopped onion-garlic and saute till golden.
  • Add raisins and 1 cup water to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add spinach and little salt and mix well. Add crushed black pepper and mix. Cook for few minutes.
