  • 1 cup rajma
  • 1 tomato 
  • 1 tsp cumin (jeera)powder
  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • A few coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste


  1. Soak rajma (Red Kidney Beans) overnight or for around 7-8 hours.

  2. Pressure cook rajma till it turns soft and drain the water.

  3. Chop onion and tomato finely.

  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and ginger paste.

  5. Saute till onions turn soft or you can add onion, tomato & ginger without Saute too if you want to avoid oil.

  6. Now add salt, red chilli powder, cumin powder and amchur powder and fry for a few seconds.

  7. Sprinkle little water and add the cooked rajma along with chopped tomatoes.

  8. Saute for a minute till the rajma gets mixed with the masala and remove from stove.

  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

  10. Serve hot.
