Peanut Chutney in Authentic Andhra Style

Peanuts Salad and Sprouts

Peanut Chutney is easy to make & healthy. The good thing about this chutney is that it requires very few ingredients to make it & goes well with idli, dosa and any other south indian breakfast varieties.

Note: You can add urad daal in temper seasoning.

Ingredients:
  • Raw Peanuts - 1 Cup
  • Sliced Onion - One Fourth Cup
  • Dry Red Chilli - 2
  • Ginger & Garlic
  • Oil - 1 Spoon
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Mustard Seeds - Half Spoon
  • Salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add peanuts and fry until slightly browned on low flame. Take out on a plate & let then cool completely.
  • In the same pan, add little oil & saute ginger, garlic, sliced onion, dry red chilli. Take out mixture on the same peanut plate & let it cool.
  • Now blend this mixture well using little water. Stir in between.
  • When properly blended, take out in a small glass bowl & add salt.
  • Heat the same pan again, add curry leaves & mustard seeds. Temper them.
  • Pour the tempering over the chutney and mix well.
