Fenugreek Chips and Nachos

Methi Rava Chips are mini crisps made with fresh methi leaves, gram flour and rava. These are fried, ready to eat crisps that you can enjoy with yours morning tea.

Ingredients:
  • Gram flour/Besan - 2 Cup
  • Rava/Semolina - One Fourth Cup
  • Carom/Ajwain Seeds - 1 Spoon
  • Chilli Powder - to taste
  • Asafoetida/Hing - A Pinch
  • Salt - Half Spoon
  • Chopped Methi Leaves - Half Cup
  • Water - One fourth cup to knead
  • Fresh oil for frying
Instructions:
  • Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add ghee in this bowl & mix all by hands for 5 to 8 minutes.(Don't add water at this time)
  • Now using water, knead a tight dough & keep it covered with moist cloth. (make sure to knead a tight dough)
  • After 10 minutes, divide the dough into balls & roll out thick round/oval chips.
  • Make 8-10 pricks on chips using fork (this will help prevent puffing during deep frying).
  • Heat the oil in a pan & fry them on medium flame till they turn crispy and golden in colour.
  • Take out on tissue paper & sprinkle chaat masala all over the fried chips.
  • You can store for 15 days in air tight container. Enjoy them with achaar/tea.
