Salad and Sprouts Chickpeas

The iron, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, and vitamin K in chickpeas all contribute to building and maintaining bone structure and strength.

Though phosphate and calcium are both important in bone structure, the careful balance of the two minerals is necessary for proper bone mineralization - consumption of too much phosphorus with too little calcium intake can result in bone loss.

Ingredients:
  • 6 thick slices Bread (white/brown)
  • Chana, boiled - 1 Cup
  • 1 Medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Medium Tomatoes, finely chopped
  • Roasted Cumin Powder
  • Chaat Masala
  • Sev & chopped coriander to garnish
  • Butter
Instructions:
  • Prepare Bread Basket:
  • Trim the edges and cut the bread slices into circular shape.
  • Slightly roll out the bread circles and straighten them.
  • Add butter on both the sides of the bread.
  • Press them gently into the muffin pans.
  • Preheat oven to 190 degree Celsius and bake the bread for 11-13 minutes. Just till they turn golden brown.
  • Prepare Chana Masala/Chana Chaat
  • Mix boiled mashed chana, chopped onion, tomatoes, chaat masala & cumin powder in a bowl. Mix all of them well.
  • Garnish with sev & chopped coriander.
