Cabbage Crunchy Upma Recipe

Ingredients:
  • Roasted Semolina/Sooji - 1 cup
  • Chopped Cabbage - One fourth cup
  • Salt and Spices - To Taste
  • Mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, cashew nuts.
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Chopped Onion - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Tomatoes - 1 tbsp
  • Chopped ginger - 1 spoon
Instructions:
  • Take a pan. Add oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, cashew nuts. Saute for a minute.
  • Then add chopped ginger, onions, curry leaves, cabbage, tomatoes, salt (as per taste). Saute all of them. Do not overcook.
  • Then add semolina and mix it well. Add water around 1 to 1.5 cup.
  • Cover the lid & cook for two minutes. Cook until all water evaporates.
  • Stir & serve.
