Barley Upma Recipe
Barley, a fibre-rich grain, is highly beneficial when it comes to shedding those extra pounds. Barley is low in fat and calories. It also contains a good amount of protein, which can reduce hunger and boost metabolism. Barley Upma is an ideal food to include in weight loss nutrient diet.

Ingredients:
- Broken Barley - Half Cup
- Few Chopped Vegetables
- Fried Peanuts - 1 Spoon
- Few Curry Leaves
- Mustard Seeds - Half Spoon
- Salt
- lemon juice
- Oil/Ghee
Instructions:
- Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker.
- Temper mustard seeds, curry leaves. Now add chopped vegetables & fried peanuts.
- Last add broken barley. Saute all of them very well for few minutes. Keep Stirring.
- Pour 1 to 1.5 Cup of water. Add salt according to yours taste.
- Take 2 to 3 whistles on medium flame. Turn off the flame and allow the pressure to release naturally.
- Open the lid. If there is any water left then cook it on low flame, stirring it gently. We need to burn excess water.
- When there is no water, add lemon juice, stir & serve.
