Wheat Rava Idli Recipe

Wheat Rava is well known for providing a significant source of dietary fiber, but it is also a great source of minerals and some vitamins. It is high in fiber so it is believed to be one of the best foods for weight loss.

  • Wheat Rava - 1 cup
  • Curd - Half cup
  • Grated Carrot - 1 tbsp
  • Few Chopped Curry leaves
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Eno salt - 1 spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  1. Mix 1 cup of wheat rava with half cup curd and one fourth cup water and salt mix well (general Idli batter consistency).
  2. Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add grated carrot, curry leaves & saute them.
  3. Add these seasoned ingredients into batter mixture.
  4. Heat idli cooker with water & let it boil. Then grease idly plates with oil and pour wheat rava batter mixture in each cavity, place it in boiling water, cover lid and steam it for 15 min.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chutney/sambhar.
