Idli is a steamed cake originating from Southern India. Idlis are made in a specialized mold and eaten with chutney, vegetable stew or other flavorful toppings for breakfast or as a snack.

These small treats are good for you and, as a bonus, convenient for those on the go. To make your diet a bit healthier, swap a donut or muffin for an idli.

Total Time (Minutes): 15
  • 2 tbsp refined oil
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 8-10 Curry leaves
  • 15 Mini Idlis
  • 2 chopped Green chilli

  1. For tadka , Heat oil in a pan , add mustard seeds till they crackle
  2. Add salt , curry patta and green chillies . Now, add mini idlis and saute .Serve hot with a chutney of your choice- coconut or tomato as desired.
