Seviyan/Vermicelli Upma Recipe
UpmaIt is healthy low calorie morning meal. It is made of sooji/rava (semolina). Adding vegetables will improve the nutritional value of the recipe. If you are trying to loose weight then you must include it in diet chart.

Ingredients:
- Dry Roasted Seviyan/Vermicelli - 2 Cup
- Roasted peanuts - 4 Spoon
- Oil/Ghee
- Mustard & Cumin Seeds
- Few Curry leaves
- 1 Onion, sliced - optional
- Chopped Vegetables
- Turmeric Powder
- To Taste Salt & garam masala
Instructions:
- Heat oil in the pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds. Let them crackle for a minute then add curry leaves. Saute for 1-2 minutes and add the onions. Saute well.
- Add vegetables, turmeric and stir well. Let them cook for 3-4 minutes. Do not overcook them.
- Add around 2.5 to 3 cups of water. Now add salt & garam masala. Add the vermicelli and mix well.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook until the vermicelli is cooked and the water is dried up. Add peanuts & stir. Enjoy.
