Pumpkin is an excellent source of vitamins A, C and zinc, all antioxidants that strengthen the immune system. Pumpkin also contains beta-carotene, an antioxidant plant pigment that gives pumpkin its bright orange colour.

You might want to add pumpkin to your diet. It has a good amount of fiber, boasting of 1.7 g in a cup of pumpkin seeds, 3 g in mashed pumpkin, and 7 g in canned pumpkin.   • 1 fresh pumpkin, peeled and seeded
  • oil
  • Salt (optional)

  1. Cut pumpkin into very thin slices with a peeler.
  2. Pour oil in a pan & heat it.
  3. Fry pumpkin slices until crisp on low flame.
  4. Drain on paper.
  5. Sprinkle salt, if desired.
