Ingredients:
- Half Medium Bottlegourd
- Half Cup Split Chana Daal (Soaked for 2 hrs)
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard seeds
- Few Curry Leaves
- 4 Tbsp Tomato Puree
- Salt & Spices
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a cooker, add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Saute them well.
- Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and mix well. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add daal & bottlegourd (ghiya) & mix well.
- Now add salt & water (Water just enough to cover daal & ghiya). Take 3 to 4 whistles on medium flame. One done, cook it on low flame without lid for 2 minutes.
- Ready to serve with chapati/paratha.
