Whole Wheat Walnut Pancake Recipe

These pancakes are good option for those people who wants to avoid regular pancakes made with all-purpose flour due to diet issues. Fresh whole wheat flour pancake is mildly nutty in flavor and delicious.

  • Whole wheat flour - 1 Cup
  • Sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • Milk
  • Baking powder - 1 Spoon
  • A pinch of salt
  • A teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Few chopped walnuts

  1. Mix all dry ingredients (wheat flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon, chopped walnuts) in a bowl. Add milk gradually and mix until batter drips from spoon (but not too runny).
  2. Grease a pan with oil & heat it on medium flame.
  3. Keeping the skillet at medium heat, ladle about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the skillet, to make a pancake. Let it cook until small bubbles form in the center. Flip & cook till golden brown.
  4. Serve it with garnishing of honey/caramel sauce.
