Cake and Muffin Wheat Flour

Churma laddoos are made by rolling "churma" a sweet whole wheat flour mixture into laddoos. In the state of Rajasthan people make Churma by grinding wheat flour fried balls and mix it with desi ghee, jaggery or sugar.

Before serving just microwave the laddoo for few second and eat fresh one at breakfast time.

Ingredients:
  • Whole wheat flour/Aata - 2.5 Cup
  • Semolina/Suji - 2 Tbsp
  • Ghee
  • Jaggery - 1 Cup
  • Elaichi/Cardamom powder - 1 spoon
Instructions:
  • Mix wheat flour and semolina in a bowl. Add ½ cup ghee and mix well. It will be breadcrumb like texture.
  • Now add water as required and knead into a stiff dough. Divide the dough to make small dumplings.
  • Heat sufficient ghee in a kadai and deep fry dumplings till golden brown. Fry them on very low flame for at least 5-7 minutes. At last fry them on high flame for half minute.
  • Let them cool completely
  • Once cooled down, coarsely crush them by hands and transfer into a bowl.
  • Heat 1 cup ghee in a non stick pan, add jaggery and stir till it melts.
  • Add melted jaggery to the coarsely crushed mixture & mix well by hands. Apply ghee on hands while mixing. Check the sweetness, you can add powdered sugar if you want.
  • Add green cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Take some cerumbles mixture and give a shape using hands.
  • Store in air tight container.
  • NOTE - You can roll them in roasted khuskhus too.
  • You can grind the fried dough in grinder too if you want a fine texture.
