Besan Panjiri Recipe

Besan Panjiri made with gram flour is excellent food for kids as its rich in nutrition of phosphorous & iron. The phosphorous in gram flour combines with calcium in the body to help in the formation of bones. The Iron content of besan helps body to recover from iron deficiencies like anaemia.

Ingredients:
  • Gram Flour (Besan) - 250 gm
  • Powdered Sugar- 150 gm
  • Roasted Nuts - 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon Powder
  • Ghee - 100 ml
  • Roasted Lotus seeds (Makhana) - Half cup
Instructions:
  • In a pan, heat the oil & add besan and on a slow flame cook till besan emits pleasing aroma and the colour has gone dark yellow.
  • Remove and allow it to cool completely. Now mix in crushed (well roasted) makhana, nuts and powdered sugar.
  • Mix all well by hands.
  • Store it in a airtight glass jar. While serving, heat the required amount in microwave.
