  • Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 4 medium
  • Cashewnuts soaked 15 (Make a Paste)
  • Ghee 2-3 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida
  • Few Curry leaves
  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar a pinch
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds.
  2. Add asafoetida, curry leaves and saute for a few seconds. Add onions and green chillies and saute on medium heat till the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add turmeric powder and saute for a few seconds. Add potatoes, 1 cup water and cashew nuts paste and mix well.
  4. Add salt and sugar and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with paratha.
