Mustard Chilli Eggs Recipe

Mustard seeds are rich in a nutrient called selenium, known for its high anti-inflammatory effects. The high source of magnesium in mustard seeds helps reducing the severity of asthma attacks and certain symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and lowering blood pressure.

Total Time (Minutes): 20
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 eggs
  • Water
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking

  1. Break the eggs into a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  2. Add a little water and continue beating until the mixture becomes quite frothy.
  3. Add the chilli flakes, mustard seeds and mix well.
  4. Melt the butter in a frying pan over a medium heat.
  5. While the butter is melting and heating up to a frizzling stage, beat the egg mixture constantly.
  6. Add the mixture to the pan and hear it sizzle.
  7. Shake the pan occasionally and leak the uncooked egg mixture around the edges till the omlette is almost thoroughly cooked.
  8. Fold the omlette in the pan using a spatula.
  9. Serve immediately.
