Methi herb may help with numerous digestive problems, such as upset stomach, constipation and inflammation of the stomach. For instance,the water-soluble fiber in fenugreek, among other foods, helps relieve constipation. It also works to treat digestion and is often incorporated in an ulcerative colitis diet treatment plan due to its anti-inflammatory effects.

Ingredients:
  • Besan
  • Salt & Spices
  • Oil
Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together gram flour(besan), red chilli powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds (ajwain), asafoetida , fenugreek (methi) leaves, onion, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste and sufficient water to make a batter. Rest the batter for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick tawa. Pour half tsp oil on the tawa and spread it.
  3. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tawa and spread it evenly.(dont spead very thick)
  4. Drizzle some oil all around and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes. When one side is done, flip, and drizzle some oil all around. Cook on the other side till evenly done.(It takes time to cook & get a crunchy texture)
  5. Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
