Bajra Dhokli (Winter Treat)

Bajra is considered superfoods because it is additionally rich in Vitamin B, Protein, Potassium, Iron, Magnesium and Phosphorus. Bajra is said to be a miracle millet with iron content which 8 times higher than that present in rice.

  • Bajra flour - 250 gm
  • Milk - 80 gm
  • Malai (homemade) - 2 tbsp
  • Tempering of mustard seeds & curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • To steam, Water

  1. In a bowl, take bajra flour, add milk, malai, salt, tempering of mustard seeds, curry leaves and make a semi-soft dough out of it. You don't have to knead it, just bring it together.
  2. Make small balls out of it, flatten them slightly & place it in a dhokla steamer & cover it & steam it for 15-18 mins on medium to slow flame.
  3. Once it's ready, cool it for 2 mins and serve it.
